For those who love collecting World’s Fair items, this vintage spoon from the 1939 New York World’s fair is a lovely souvenir.
On the top of the handle is a Romanesque-looking woman, holding a drape of fabric over her head and behind her as she stands on a podium. At the top are the words “World of Tomorrow,” while below her are the dates 1789 - 1939. The length of the handle has the words “New York World’s Fair.”
On the reverse is printed “Peerless Silver Plate”, and “N.Y.W.F. Lic. 1113" (New York World’s Fair License 1113).
It’s silver plate surface is in Good vintage condition, showing minor plate loss. I’ve not polished it, and it will shine up beautifully.
Length is 6 inches.
