Little girls and their toys!!! This fun trade card is copyrighted 1891 on the back, and is an advertisement for James Pyle’s Pearline Washing Compound. Many of the advertising cards from this New York company featured young children in everyday situations, but always incorporating a box of Pearline in the image.
She’s a curly tow-headed toddler, standing in her day dress and holding her dolly upside down by one leg, while carrying a box of Pearline with her clown toy inside.
Card is 2-5/4" by 4", and is in Very Good condition. Guaranteed to be original, not a reproduction.
The color graphics on the front are bold and beautiful, and there is a black and white graphic of a child and dog on the back. No tears, creases, stains or fading - just a very nice children’s trade card - she’s adorable!
