This nice little chair and table are perfect for a garden or patio setting in a 3/4 or small 1" scale dollhouse. Made in Germany in the 1920's by Karl Schreifer and marketed as 'Korbi'. Made of stiff cardboard, pressed all over with a wicker design and painted in a charming medium green enamel. The chair is covered in cheerfully colored paper and the top of the unusual triangular table is green card.
Made in 3/4" = 1' scale but may also mix with some smaller 1" scale furniture. The chair measures 3" tall (1 1/4" to seat), 2 1/2" wide and 1 3/4" deep. The table seems tall compared to the chair and measures just over 2" tall and each side of the triangle is 1 1/8" long.
This furniture is quite delicate and these examples have fared nicely compared to many. No breaks or bends in the cardboard bodies and very little paint loss. What may appear as a break on the back side of the chair (left edge) is actually a joint between the back and side pieces. They are firmly attached with no gap or looseness. The paper on the chair is also nice with bright colors and no loss. The cardboard table top has a line across the top where the first layer of cardboard has broken. It does not go through all layers and the piece is stable and firm. Some wear around the edges.
