This set of doll house kitchen furniture includes a step-back cupboard, table and chair and stove. Found with the Strombecker sink and it will also be included.
Made of light wood with glued construction and enameled in green. The sink is a slightly different shade but a nice match. Made in small 1" or large 3/4" scale. The size of the 3/4" scale sink gives an indication of size and also the chair which is shown in the last picture with a 3/4" scale Strombecker and a typically sized 1" scale chair on the right.
The step back cupboard features a functioning door on the bottom and a shelf on top and measures 4 1/2" tall, 3 1/2" wide and 1 1/4" deep. The top section is 1 1/4" wide and the shelves are about 7/8" apart. The other pieces are relatively sized and more dimensions will be gladly provided. The stove has black painted knobs and burners. The door on the oven has a small brass knob but does not open.
All are in very nice condition with a nice coat of paint and just a few signs of play-wear, smudging and minor edge wear to the paint. At least one leg on the table has been re-glued. The Strombecker sink shows the light paint application that is typical for this furniture and has perhaps more 'patina' than the other pieces.
All but the sink are stamped: "Germany".
Shown on page 87 of Dian Zillner's "International Dollhouses & Accessories" and dated to the mid 1930's.
