This small set of doll house furniture for a bedroom was made in Germany and the impressed design on headboards and door suggest that it was made during the Art Nouveau period (1880-1916).
Made of light wood with glued construction and a medium brown stain. The beds are perhaps slightly smaller than typical 1" scale and measure just under 5" long and 2 3/4" wide. The stand is 2 3/4" tall and 1 1/4" in depth and width. Embossed with a linear design on head and foot boards and embellished with fan-shaped motifs on headboards and door of cabinet. The door is functional and opens with a small pewter knob.
While there is no real damage to any of the pieces there are some small idiosyncrasies that must be mentioned. A knot hole the bottom panel of one bed, a tight split in the wood on the head board of the other and overall finish irregularities on both. At least 3 of the feet on the stand have been replaced and we also believe the top has been replaced as the layered wood is not typical for this older furniture. It is a nice color match. Please use the photos as further illustration of condition and feel free to request more.
Found with and included is an assortment of bedding including 2 mattresses that do not match, 4 pillows and printed cotton spreads. These all have some age-related tanning but the fabrics are healthy. The spreads may appear to be severely tanned but we believe that the original background color was close to this brownish tan color as it is an even color on both front and back. These are simply pieces of unhemmed fabric with no hems and fraying around the edges.
