The Fenton Glass Company was founded in 1905 and is located in Williamstown, WVa, directly across the Ohio River from Marietta, Ohio where I grew up. Every year Mother and her friends would tour the factory and always came home with a new piece of milk glass and our homes were teeming with it. It was the 1950's and anything that vaguely resembled 'Early American' was very chic then. The glass continues to be popular with collectors.
This epergne is the smaller 'apartment' size and the bowl measures about 8" in diameter and 7" tall when the 6" long vases are in place. Made of milk glass with a hobnail pattern and ruffled sides on the bowl and around the tops of the inserts.
All 4 pieces are in excellent condition with just a minuscule spot on one of the vases that is shown in the last picture. This was done in the manufacture and is not damage.
