This charming tin of Sweet Pea Talc dates to the 1930's or 40's and the graphics illustrate the design style of the time. Purple and pink sweet pea blossoms spring from a stylized and Art Deco influenced abstract design around the bottom half of the can. The dark green lid comes off to reveal a shaker top.
Marked; "Lander, Fifth Ave New York, Distributors, Cont. 5 oz" and "Made in U.S. of America" around the green band on the bottom.
Measures 6 1/2" tall and 1 3/4" square and holds 5 ounces of powder. It is full and appears to be unused but much of the scent has dissipated over the years.
We looked this over carefully so we could show any scratching or damage and it is still in almost perfect condition. A few very small and light scratches and also notice that the sprinkler sits at a very slight angle. Please use the photos of further illustration of the excellent condition.
Such a delightful little thing and perfect for display in a cottage style bath or bedroom.
