This lovely old walnut footstool measures 14" by 10" by 7" tall and features a hand-worked needlepoint cover.
Very substantial and the oval wooden base measures a full 2" wide. The turned legs are about 1 5/8" in diameter and are pegged into the top panel. Packaged weight is over 5 pounds.
The needlepoint features cream and pastel colored flowers on a rose colored field. Very nicely executed with no missing stitches but several slight pulls.
A lovely warm patina but shows some bumps and finish wear, strangely centered mostly on two of the legs. Please use the photos for further illustration of condition.
A charming old piece that we would date to the first quarter of the 20th century. Maker is unknown; stamped "9306" on underside.
