An unusual set of wooden bathroom pieces for a large dollhouse or charming display. Includes a claw foot tub and tank-over toilet.
The tub measures 9 1/2" long, 3" wide and 2 3/4" tall. The toilet is 6 1/2" tall, 3 1/4" wide including the flange on the top side and 2 3/8" deep (this is how far it would protrude from the wall). Shown in the last picture with typically sized 1" scale furniture for size reference.
It's hard to say what these old pieces have been through and all we can do is describe them as accurately as possible, provide lots of pictures and gladly answer any questions. The photographs are crucial to our descriptions, especially on pieces that are in this condition. Please study them all and more will be gladly provided.
The two pieces are absolutely charming but Very Shabby! Both have a thick coat of ivory colored paint that is obviously not the first. Much chipping and dripping and overall distress. It appears that the inside curve of the tub was formed with plaster and most of this has chipped off. The gold painted legs have all broken off and been reattached at one time. The toilet is in slightly better condition but also very rustic. The hand-carved bowl features an unpainted lid that opens with a small brass hinge. Both have glue residue on the back of toilet and underside of tub where they were probably mounted to something. This may explain the damage to the legs.
We think that the charm of these pieces over-shadows their condition and hope that you feel the same.
