This lovely set of creamer and sugar bowl was made in Germany by C. Tielsch & Co. and hand painted and signed by Clara S. Skillings. The black under-glaze mark dates the porcelain from 1875 to 1934.
Lovely in shape and decoration, the sugar bowl and lid are 3 1/2" tall and 5" from handle to handle. Both bowls are about 3 3/4" in diameter.
Snow white hard paste European porcelain, hand decorated by a talented amateur china painter, the bodies are soft mint green and feature cartouches on either side in white lustre glaze. Bowers of green foliage and white roses surround these and the rims and handle are trimmed in Roman Gold. Just beautiful!
No damage to either piece with some minor usage wear on the gold trim.
