This lovely porcelain celery set was made by the Carl Schlegelmilch company, Suhl, Germany. The set includes the long ovoid bowl (11 1/4" by 5") and 6 salts (3 3/4" by 2 1/2").
The stately yet feminine pattern features small transfers of pink roses interspersed around a scalloped bower of small posies (also a transfer). A narrow gold band follows a line of embossed beads around the perimeter. This and the striped gilding were hand painted.
All pieces are in excellent condition with no damage. There is a small area on the large bowl that shows wear the the edge gilding (shown in the close-up photo).
All pieces are marked with blue (over glaze) clover mark reading; "CS Prussia". Dates from 1882-1912.
