This lovely butter pat measures 3 1/4" in diameter and was made in the Staffordshire region of England by Allerton's in the first part of the 20th Century, 1903-1912.
The blue transfer pattern is called; "Chinese" and features a lovely scene of pagodas surrounded by a richly patterned border reminiscent of the ever-popular Blue Willow pattern.
Marked in blue under glaze; "Allertons, England, Chinese".
As of this writing we have 3 of these; one has a small glaze disturbance on the surface, one has light crazing and one has some blurring of the transfer. They are shown in the last picture. All have nice dark blue color on snowy white with no chips or damage.
The price shown is for one.
