The irregular scalloped edge and subtle embossments distinguish this lovely and elegant plate as a service piece rather than a dinner plate.
The back side shows the snow-white French porcelain, the front has a soft ecru satin glaze scattered with delicate wild flowers in watercolor-like shades of yellow, pink and green. This is a transfer print which has been hand painted and highlighted with thin gold outlines. The embossed and scalloped edge is daubed with gold.
In very condition with no chips, cracks or crazing however there is quite a bit of gold loss on the very outside edge.
