Lovely pair of old angels, lovely angel statues of originally french pipe clay, mostly down to the plaster now and a lovely design, a true pair with mirror imaging and fine detail. Each angel measures 7" tall and they are in overall good condition with the following issues: one angel has an elbow injury with missing area, see close up photo, amazingly it is not that noticeable when these are displayed. A little wear on one nose, small flea bites here and there, age holes in one wing (normal issue), some scuffing on the bases. Use the close up feature on the photos to view. The angels are signed on the bases "Petrucci Carli (unreadable numbers) Wolfe - Montreal". This indicates the company. One angel has what appears to be an artist signature in front of the feet on the base, but age wear has it too smooth to make out the letters. Lovely large wings on these angels, and hands folded in prayer, a most special pair of angels, and we rarely find pairs.
