A large old Infant of Prague statue of Jesus from our long time personal collection, of heavy chalk ware or plaster, in good sturdy condition. He is dressed in an off white robe with sequin design on the front and a cape of light gold brocade fastened with a jeweled pin. all as purchased from a Church. He stands 24 and 1/2" tall when wearing the removable gold tone metal crown that is covered with prong set faux jewels and is a signed crown as well, Galagantakis. No missing stones on the crown. Some wear on the head hair area of the statue from the crown being removed over the years. The eyes resemble glass but are actually painted. Has the old Columbia Statuary mark on the back of the base. Some overall wear as expected, some stains from age on the gown. These large statues are not easy to find at all, and the crown alone is worth half the price we are asking if not more.
