Lovely old Book of Common Prayer, of what is called "ivorine", a cover of a plastic or material similar to bakelite in appearance and feel made to mimic ivory; and on the front the IHS in hallmarked silver, truly beautiful. Published by Oxford University Press in London, 1913 assumed as it is the beginning date in the table of moveable feasts. Old sticker in the front of book "Eveleigh Bishop Limited, Leeds". No names or writing inside. Book is in good condition, page edges shiny gold gilt, some mild wear on pages, marker ribbon present but seems shorter than original, binding secure in the back, inside the front cover the book is slightly separating from the celluloid ivorine cover, this can be glued back and is not an issue for use. We always leave such choice of whether to repair or not to the buyer as many collectors like to do their own due to preferences on glue. The cover is so beautiful it is worthy of framing. This lovely book measures 4 & 5/8" tall, 3 & 1/4" wide and is 7/8" thick.
