Fabulous religious art, a lovely painting on porcelain, in the style of a miniature but larger; Madonna and Child, the Virgin Mary and the Infant Jesus, painted with lovely detail and colors. It is in the original reddish wood oval frame mounted on melon velvet with a matching melon velvet inner border, all original, note small stains on the velvet, we have not had this cleaned. It is in a nice ornate hand crafted wood frame with antique gold finish, and an old Lyzon Nashville label on the back, a premier framer of the time. The overall size is 22 & 1/2" by 18 & 1/2"; and the exposed porcelain measures 7 & 1/2" by 5 & 1/2". Everything in overall very good condition, mild wear on the porcelain but just lovely.
