Old reliquary for Saint Margaret Mary Alacoque from France, made while her title was still "Blessed", labeled on the outside in French handwriting by religious sisters as follows" Familles des noisettes ou a apparee Notre Signeus a la Bse Marguerite Marie, Donnees par les Meres de la Visitation de Paray-Le-Monial Anthentique". This identifies it as made by the official religious group that have provided the relics and sacramentals for this Saint over the decades. The written paper enclosing this relic is considered an authentication paper for it as well. It is folded up to seal it and we never have opened it. Acquired in a large collection of paper enclosed relics from a Religious order in France a long time ago. Noisettes refers to the tree of the apparition for this Saint. One of a kind item. It measures 4.5" by 2.5", and is clean, has been well stored in our home since purchase many decades ago. A Ruby Lane customer has done the translation for me as follows: Hazelnut leaves where Our Lord appeared to Bse [Blessed] Marguerite Marie [Alacoque], given by the Mothers of the
Visitation of Paray-Le-Monial.
