Just beautiful porcelain with the Nymphenburg mark on both top and also bottom of this lovely hunting motif figurine, of an elegant stag deer with huge antlers being surrounded with three wolves (could be dogs but those fangs sure look long!). We could not find this exact figurine in our research, but several fine antiques sites identified the hunting scenes such as this from the 1800's. We did find similar pieces, and priced this one below the market value of those. We also noted some Nymphenburg figures on the major auction houses bringing many times this amount. This piece measures 9" long and is 5 & 1/2" tall and in good condition, slight age wear, there could be a tiny fleabite here or there, we do not see one, and we see no repairs or damage. This came from a friend of ours of German heritage from a large collection of fine figurines from France and Germany. The shield mark on both the top of the base and also on the bottom.
