Too large to be called miniatures, we refer to this size as cameo portraits, the this pair is fabulous, from the estate of a family friend, of relatives from the late 1700's to mid 1800's. These are identified in their family inventory as photographs of pencil sketches, we think more likely a print, although frankly they look like originals. The signatures are matching and on the bottom right. It appears to be either Getter or Gretter, and Frankfort Ky, we have been unable to identify the artist. Each of these is under glass in more modern oval gold finish wood frames and in good condition. We don't usually offer family photos and portraits, but these we thought were exceptional in the workmanship even if photographs, and the signature in the photo makes them even better. Each one measures 8 & 5/8" tall by 6 & 1/2" wide. Price for the pair, not for sale individually.
