Really fabulous antique collar of fine needle lace, some parts may be crochet, some tatting, battenburg, etc; it is a combination of wonderful laces pieces together many generations ago. It is a slightly off white or near white, laces probably of linen with possibly some cotton. Measurements as follows: the square part 18" across, each side 19" long from the corner, the ends are 5 & 1/2" wide and the same at the center back (or front depending on how you use this). Good condition, no aromas, little hint of a stain on the seam at the corner and one other small place, you have to get really close up (like inches) to see it at all. Really lovely and unusual collar worthy of being framed or in a museum. We rarely see these anymore.
