Vintage Sterling Silver Green & Marcasite Clip Fine Costume Jewelry

Offering for sale a beautiful antique clip. This one is a small clip, hard to find, made of sterling silver with a lovely green stone, it is a real stone but we don't know its name, and the metal is set with lovely marcasites. On the back the clip fastener is in good working order, very secure, and is marked "Pat 1852 188 sterling". It measures 7/8" across and has a lovely dome shape due to the green stone. It is in very good condition with no damage or repairs. We did not polish this sterling very much for the photos. Due to the round shape of the green stone, there is a light reflection spot on the photos which looks like a flaw on the stone, it is not.
