Unusual old necklace, Buddhist or Hindu origin, Tibetan is best guess, with a large pendant with face of a deity, face appears to be of rough coral or other real stone, accented all around with decorative head dress of small black elongated stones at top, coral colored stones and small round turquoise believed to be real, any treatment unknown and likely not, as several are missing from age. The eyes are either glass or an unusual stone.; really hard to tell on these small pieces. All handcrafted of course, old and tribal in design, on a silver tone metal of unknown content, Pendant measures 3 & 1/4" wide and 3 & 1/4" tall and is suspended on its original chain forming a necklace that is 21" around. Overall good condition with the noted small amount of empty bezels that have lost stones over time. We think this is one of the wrathful or protective deities. I have seen newer ones similar to this that are poor copies, this one old and quite wonderful.
