Nice old edition of Snowbound by John Greenleaf Whittier, published by Thomas Crowell , beige cloth hardback, no dj, front has lovely center Art Deco design of the title and author dame between two pillars with a border of orange, turquoise and gold gilt leaves below and above; and above this another set with a scene of a monk, not sure, seated at his writing desk pen in hand and background curtains of the same colors with dome above, just lovely. No title on spine. This book is in fair to good used condition, some age soiling and wear, no names or writing inside, pages are clean with very little yellowing, page outer edges are rough edged as if hand cut, no edition stated, no date given except a date at the end of the introduction of 1908. Marbled end papers, 40 numbered pages in the book plus XXVI pages in the introduction. Page upper edged gold gilt still fairly bright. There is some separation at front cover and the ffep, but still is secure. Lovely book and not easy to find at all.
