Offering for sale a very rare to find pair of antique table candelabra; fine table candlestick lighting. These are gilt metal, with fabulous centers of fine champleve enamel we were told is by Longwy in colors of turquoise blue, maroon, yellow, wine cobalt or royal blue, gold, green, etc. (Although we think this is a French or Russian piece in both our opinion and verified by another dealer in fine antiques). On each of the two candlesticks a coordinating champleve on metal with similar designs and colors. Each lamp has a center pineapple finial, two candlesticks each, square base with fine hoofed feet. These have been wired for electricity, with a switch on the cords; we believe they were originally for candles only. There is no Longwy signature as it would be inside the champleve on porcelain piece if at all; we bought these from a fine antiques dealer who had researched these quite extensively; also reporting these as French circa 1860's - 1880's. Each is 14 & 1/2" tall without light bulbs inserted, and 8 & 1/2' wide. The bases are 4 & 1/2' square each. Both in very good condition, mild age wear, electrical parts in good working order. These could of course be used with decorative chandelier bulbs , or other bulbs with small lampshades on each. Much much prettier than the photos, and quite elegant lighting. Price is for the pair, not for sale individually.
