Offering for sale a very lovely and unusual tea or dessert set. It includes a teapot with lid, sugar with lid and large creamer; a large sauce or whatever bowl, six smaller individual bowls (or use these for serving small candies, etc) and two cake or cookie plates (one with minor chip). This is a fabulous set, great design on the teapot and accessories, unique handles, unusual shape on the lower or bases of the pieces, and it features a creamy white china with pale rose and golden tan leaves branches & flowers, maybe columbine, on both fronts and backs, plus also on the bowls and plates. The plates are 9 & 3/4" across, the sauce bowl 6 & 3/8' across and 3" tall, the six smaller bowls 5 & 5/8" across, the creamer 5 & 1/2" tall, the sugar including lid 6" tall and the teapot with lid 7 & 1/2" tall. Overall very good condition, small inch or so hairline crack upper edge of creamer, mild wear on the florals, no significant cracks or repairs, only chip is on one of the two plates. Very decorative handles, fabulous floral design, a very impressive set. No knowledge of the maker or country, it looks Japanese to me, but one piece only has a marking in gold on the bottom "617" which would indicate American or European instead. This is not at all thin china or porcelain, but sturdy and strong, of good weight.
