Lovely antique pair of candlesticks from England, circa 1870's, with square pierced substantial bases, nice drip catchers and on the stand a lovely oval cameo of a Satyr face with horns and other decorations in open work with decorative border, truly magnificent metalwork. Each candlestick measures 5 & 1/2" tall with the bases 3 & 5/8" across. Both are in very good condition with lovely patina. One of them has a very very very slight wobble where the stand is joined to the stick, typical and not an issue. On the bottom is a signature or trademark of the maker, but we can not identify who it is. What we really love is that the faces are on both sides, a very fine touch.
