Offering for sale an old baby doll made by Madame Alexander, and so signed on back of the head. This precious infant measures 16" long, and head , hands and legs of a lifelike rubbery material. Her body is cloth, and I can feel the presence of a "crier" inside which is no longer working. She is in good overall condition, with some age minor soiling, which probably would clean up fine if one desired to do so. She is dressed very nicely in white, with the lovely dress with built-in under slip and lovely lace, satin ribbon, eyelet and embroidery, underpants in matching fabric with lace, white crochet booties, and the matching cap. The clothing may or may not be original. I bought this doll back in the late seventies from a local doll collector, and she was dressed this way when I bought her. This is a fairly rare doll to find, as Madame Alexander did not make very may baby dolls of this quality.
