Fabulous Native American belt made by and signed DM for Daniel Martinez, early piece, fine turquoise set in marked sterling silver with large impressive buckle and 19 beautiful conchos in two shapes, an X and a diamond shape, very unique; each of these pieces has a brown leather backing which matches the belt and a copper strip on the back through which the belt flows. Belt is very long, 51" with no punched holes, made this way by the artist so the owner can make it to their size. Thick quality leather too. The buckle measures 3" by 2 and 3/8". Each "X" measures 2" by 1 and 1/4" and the diamond shapes are 1 and 1/4 each way. We rarely get a belt at all, this one is magnificent. Turquoise variety unknown, some pieces showing matrix, it is a lovely med to dark green with blue tint, probably stabilized although hard to tell, the stones are highly polished and bezel set to perfection. Vintage piece in very good condition, appears to never have been worn as no holes were punched. Small ladies, you can wear this too, removing the extra leather or using it as a wrap.
