Great vintage Native American necklace and earring set of sterling silver (tested) and lime green Gaspeite, rare to find such an impressive necklace with this stone used and with the matching earrings. All three pieces also marked Sterling and artist mark of a feather on the back of necklace. This set is circa 1980 or older, possibly the work of Alvin and Lula Begay. The earrings are on wires and measure 2 and 1/4" long not including the wire. The necklace measures 15" when laid flat, in length and the center medallion is 3" across, a most impressive piece of jewelry. It hangs beautifully on the body and a good length too. All pieces in very good condition. Gaspeite pieces are not easy to find in older ones, it is a stone not native to the US and used today much more frequently in Native American jewelry, the lime green color with slight brown matrix is quite striking. We acquired this from the collector that bought it in the Southwest .
