Old Native American huge pendant or bolo, made by Navajo artist Jerry Roan before 1977, signed with his interlocked JR on the back,. magnificent metalwork, measures 3 & 1/2" tall and 2 & 1/2" at the widest place across, in wonderful condition, old patina on the tested sterling silver. One huge and one smaller very tall nugget of turquoise, mine unknown and two generous fat pieces of coral. Coral probably Mediterranean, the turquoise is probably stabilized for strength. One of the most impressive pieces we have seen. Bolo cord could of course be removed to wear this as a pendant on a necklace. Bolo cord laid flat is 18" long when doubled. We can so see this used as a pendant on a necklace or matching turquoise nuggets. But fabulous just the way it is. Now deceased, his work was always big or unusual.
