Large Native American buckle of heavy fine sterling silver and covered with 38 nuggets (assumed stabilized) of fine turquoise of a rich deep color all bezel set, with engraved details on the border which are unique to the artist. Scattered among the turquoise settings are silver Navajo "tears", those small balls of silver. Signed Sterling and NS, we have not been able to identify the name of this Navajo artist. The buckle measures 4" long and 3 & 1/4" wide. Great buckle, heavy and substantial in weight, could also be hung from strands of turquoise nuggest to make a necklace. From a fine collector of Native American jewelry.
