This is a charming, excellent condition circa 1940's necklace whose pendant is also a fur clip. The snake chain is in perfect shape, with no kinks, and measures 14 ½ inches (36.8 cm). (I am, alas, a US size 14, and it sits very comfortably on me.) The silver plated brass pendant/clip measures 2 inches by 2 inches (5.1 by 5.1 cm) at its widest points, and features multi-layered flowers with domed centers or pistils. The motif is accented with a swirled vine or stem. The rear of the pendant has two bails, allowing it to hang evenly from the chain, and a well-functioning fur clip. The piece was made by a crafts person with quality materials and attention to detail, and has a lovely, velvety patina.
