This gorgeous Ledo set has swirls of pave’ rhinestones with gold-plated fronds, creating what look like nautiluses (nautili?) to my eye. With their riveted construction and substantial dimensional design, these are very high quality pieces. Circa 1950’s to early 1960’s.
Measurements: Brooch, 2 by 1.5 inches (5.1 by 3.8 cm); earrings, 1 by 1 inch (2.5 by 2.5 cm)
Marks: © Ledo on the brooch; the earrings bear the utility patent number for the clip mechanism.
References: According to Julia C. Carroll in Costume Jewelry 202, the Ledo mark was used from 1948 to 1962, when the company was renamed Polcini.
