This wonderfully detailed cuff bracelet features tiny silver tone, pink, and pearly beads and clear faceted rhinestones set on leaves surrounding a cherub or angel playing a lyre. The pink and pearl colored beads were once silver. I quite like the addition of the pink and cream accents! The little cherub even has a tiny bracelet and anklet. The bracelet’s brass surfaces, outside the dramatic main feature, are covered completely in silver tone chain.
Condition: Some of the little beads are missing, but there is so much going on with this set that it matters in my view not at all. I’ve noted above the pink and pearl beads that were once silver, and there is a little dot of green paint on the angel’s knee.
Marks: There appears to be something etched or scratched on the interior of the cuff, but I just can’t read it. I thought that this might be a Wendy Gell piece, and Ms. Gell was kind enough to take a look at the pictures. She couldn’t be sure, but felt overall that this was someone else’s work, probably contemporaneous to her early pieces.
Measurements: The bracelet measures 2 1/8 inches wide (5.4 cm) and 6 3/8 inches (16.2 cm) at its interior. You will want to plan on wearing this piece up higher on the forearm.
