Golden Leaves Demi-Parure with Aurora Borealis Stones / Estate Find

This Golden Leaves Demi-parure with Aurora Borealis stones is quite the beauty. Consisting of a bracelet and clip earrings it is, alas, unsigned. Still one can tell it was made by a quality manufacturer just the same.

The bracelet measures 7 ½ inches long, 1 inch wide and consists of eight (8) links. Each link is comprised of two (2) leaves made of a lustrous open work, golden metal plating and each leaf has a sparkling 4mm Aurora Borealis stone that glistens with blues, greens and purples. Sixteen (16) stones and leaves in all on the bracelet.

The earrings, just as lovely, also feature open work leaves on each but this time there are three (3) leaves. Each leaf also has a 4mm Aurora Borealis stone, but this time the designer added another for a total of four 4mm AB stones and then, sprinkled in an additional two (2) stones each 2mm wide. Each measuring 1inch long and 7/8 inch wide. These are clip back earrings, and the clips are each in fine working order.

Condition is once again Excellent Vintage. All stones are present and bright, all plating is in fine shape and I can not find any chips or scratches on any of these pieces. Stones are not prong set, but have the look of being so. (I must note here that any dark or black you see in my photos is simply reflections of my Camera.)

All purchases are returnable for refund so you can feel confident in what you are buying with me.

FYI: The Estate sale was for items owned by William and Susan Ecenbarger.

William won the Pulitzer Prize for General news in 1980 for his outstanding reporting of the Three Mile Island nuclear accident coverage. (TMI to us locals)

He was a reporter and and editor for the Philadelphia Inquirer in his day and also Freelanced with his work having been published in The Washington Post, the Los Angeles Times, Smithsonian Magazine, Esquire, Audubon and other leading newspapers and magazines.

William wrote historical books too; “Walkin' the Line: A Journey from Past to Present Along the Mason-Dixon”, published in 2000 and “Glory by the Wayside: The Old Churches of Hawaii which was co-authored by his wife Susan (who also did the principal photography for the book). This was released in 2008. He not only won the Pulitzer, but in his writing career he also won the George Polk Aware, and the Lowell Thomas Travel Writer of the Year among others.

I am assuming that Susan was the collector of the fabulous jewelry I saw there. Be sure to find the other offerings from this estate of Eisenberg Weiss and Pell that I have for you here in my shop.

Comes in a gift box and a Lux presentation bag for gifting to a friend. (or yourself)
