This signed Native American Navajo Sterling Silver Cuff Bracelet is marked “T. Billy Sterling”. T Billy, also known as Tom Billy on some of his creations works in the traditional Navajo Pictograph designs.
Made of bright Sterling Silver, with stamped Navajo designs that are filled with black inlay. The cuff is 3/8” wide and will fit a 6 1/2” wrist nicely. It has a 1” opening to allow it to be placed on your wrist, and it has some give to accommodate, but pleas do not force this wider to put it on or it will harm the integrity of the bracelet.
I did find that the Arrowhead Pictograph means “ Alertness and Direction”, however I could not find anything similar to the other design on this piece. Nor could I find much more than who the makers mark was attributed to, such as it is with many of the Native Silversmiths from various tribes who work in obscurity.
This bracelet is part of the well traveled Octogenarian's Estate that is being featured here in my shop, and it is most likely from around the 70's. Condition is excellent Vintage.
