Beautifully detailed this Sterling Silver Washington State Yakama Nation Dancer pendant measures
1” high and 1” wide. Its previous owner attached a Sterling Silver “Seattle, Wash” pennant to the jump ring and it is attached to a Sterling Silver Prince of Wales link chain that measures 9” closed (18' open).
It is marked “Sterling” on the dancers thy and again on the spring ring of the necklace chain.
The dancer is dressed in full powwow regalia which depicts a large bird. His knees are bent as he thrusts his arms outward and looks as if he could take flight at any moment. Unmarked as to the maker, however the detailing of the feathers indicates it was made with accuracy and care.
This necklace comes from a well traveled Octogenarians Estate Sale here is Pennsylvania. She either had a love for our Native Americans or was one herself because her home and jewelry reflected many fine pieces of Indigenous Peoples art from many tribes throughout the country. (other items from her estate are listed here in my shop)
My Jewelry comes boxed and in a lovely presentation bag worthy of even the most discerning customer, because your treasure deserves nothing less.
