This is a very attractive Russian 84 Silver Kiddush Cup. The cup has a gold wash inside. The exterior of the cup is hand engraved with small diamond shapes. There are three partial squares with plants inside.
The bottom is hallmarked. It is marked 84 which indicates .875 silver. It has the Kokoshnik mark that dates it from1899 to 1904. It has the assayer’s initials for Aleksandr Kazimirovich Vyrzhikovsky, Kiev. The maker’s mark is attributed to Israel Eseevich Zakhoder – Kiev 1892 – 1907.
It measures approximately 1 ¾” tall and 1 ½” in diameter.
It is not monogrammed.
It is in good condition with wear on the engraving that is commensurate with its age and use.
It weighs 15.9 grams.
