This is a pretty sterling silver vanity set consisting of long handled mirror and brush. There is a cartouche in the center with the monogrammed initial “C” on the mirror and brush. The handles are decorated with leaves and draping.
Both pieces are marked sterling and have the manufacturer’s mark. The maker is Saart Brothers Company of Attleboro, Massachusetts. They started business in the early 1900’s and they were taken over by R. J. Nolan sometime after 1937.
The mirror measures approximately 13” in length and 4” wide.
The brush measures approximately 10 ½” in length and 3” wide.
It is monogrammed with the initial “C”.
The handle is marked sterling but there is no manufacturer’s mark.
The brush bristles are intact and secure. There are some small dings in the top of the brush and wear that is commensurate with its age and use.
