This is a beautiful sterling silver compote with lovely decoration around the rim. It has the maker's marks on the bottom – a crown, an f and a shield. It is also marked sterling, weighted and 914. The compote was made by Fisher Silversmiths Inc. of Jersey City, New Jersey and New York, New York. They were active from the 1930's and were eventually taken over by M. Fred Hirsch Co.
It measures approximately 6" in diameter and 4" in height.
It is in fair condition but the rim of the bowl is slightly dented on one side. It has a few minor dings around the bowl and light surface scratches.
It weighs 8.5 oz.
We apologize for the quality of the pictures. The surface is highly reflective and difficult to shoot.
