This is a lovely and unusual vintage porcelain lamp. It has a very unusual shape. It is all porcelain and has hand painted green and gold leaves with small purple flowers against an ivory or cream colored background. There are three bands of gold gilt and one band of green decorating the lamp. It is signed on the front of the lamp but the letters are very hard to decipher. The letters may be CHG but we can't say for sure. Under the felt on the base of the lamp someone wrote the initials "MD". The lamp could have been used as a boudoir lamp, television lamp, as a night light or in an entrance hall. It has its original wiring and does work but for safety it should be rewired.
It measures approximately 9 ½" tall and 6 ¼" wide.
The condition is good. There is some wear on the gold gilt and a hairline about 3" long on the inside bottom base of the lamp.
