This is a very pretty large Goofus Glass plate. There is a small cluster of red cherries in the center. There are large gold leaves, small gold flowers and four more clusters of red cherries surrounding the center cluster. The pattern is elegantly and simply designed.
It is in good condition with only some wear to the gold on the rim of the plate. There are no chips or cracks.
It measures approximately 11 ¼" in diameter.
Goofus glass was made from about 1900 till the 1920's by many American factories. It was an inexpensive type of luster-painted pressed glassware. Red and gold combinations were very popular.
