This is a nice 10 1/2” float bowl in the very popular and distinctive Candlewick Pattern. It was made by the Imperial Glass Company of Ohio. The rim of the bowl is beaded all the way around.
It can be used as a serving bowl or as a float bowl. You can use the bowl as a low centerpiece on the dining table or on a counter or side table. You can use a variety of different items to put in the bowl. Use flowers, flower petals, leaves or fruit slices with or without floating candles. Add crystals, pebbles or beads in it along with some candles or just use evergreens or leaves during the fall and holidays. For the summer you can add white sand and sea shells.
The condition is very good. There are no chips, scratches or stains.
The bowl measures approximately 10 1/2” in diameter. The height from the bottom to the top of the rim is 2 1/4”.
Candlewick crystal was made by the Imperial Glass Corporation, a division of Lenox Inc. Bellaire, Ohio. Candlewick was first made during 1936. During its years of production more than 741 items were designed in this pattern. Imperial closed its doors September, 1982. Up until that time Candlewick was still being produced.
