This is a nice early bottle produced by the Larkin Soap Company of Buffalo, NY. The bottle is a dark or emerald green. It is very attractively designed. It has a glass stopper with an oval shaped top. The stopper has the company’s monogram on both sides. The logo was used between 1890 and 1915. The bottle tapers slightly from the top to the footed bottom. The front of the bottle reads “Larkin Soap Co. Buffalo” in raised letters.
The bottle measures approximately 4” high and 1 ¾” by 1 3/8”.
The stopper is stuck in the bottle very tightly and we have not tried to remove it. There are some contents remaining in the bottle. This may have been a smelling salts bottle. There is a small little chip on the back of the bottle. There are no other chips or cracks. There is a little bit of roughness around the top outer rim of the stopper.
