This is an old Cream of Wheat Advertisement that appeared in the August 1919 issue of Needlepoint Magazine. The ad features a little girl playing with blocks spelling out cream of wheat. The artwork for the advertisement was done by prominent artist W. V. Cahill.
The ad was removed from the original 20th century periodical. Included with the Cream of Wheat advertisement is the beautiful cover of the 1919 Needlepoint magazine with a beautiful young woman near the water, as well as an ad for National Biscuit Company products, and a page of small ads of items for sale through the magazine for fund raisers.
The NBC ad is also very nice and features all their biscuits and cookies for sale.
There is some discoloration due to age. The edges are a little rough but would be covered up if matted or framed. There a couple of small tears on the edges and small holes where the pages were stapled together. There is a crease through the center of the ads.
There are four pages to this item. The pages are printed back to back. You can separate the pages and frame two ads if you wish. The Cream of Wheat ad is on the back of the magazine cover and the Biscuit ad is on the back of the page with the small advertisements.
The pages measure approximately 10 3/4” by 15”.
