This is a nice old galvanized metal garden water or watering can. It does not have the old perforated sprinkler head on the spout.
This poor old can has had a rough life. As mentioned, the sprinkler head is missing. The can has some significant denting on both sides. The bottom is also dented and the can tends to wobble. It does stand up though. It seems to have had a handle across the top at one time but that is gone also. We put some water in it to see if still held water. It does, however there are two tiny pin holes in the bottom that leak slowly and a slow leak from the bottom seam - probably a result of the denting.
It does have a nice old primitive look and would make a great decorating piece to hold dried flowers, knitting needles, pine branches during the holidays, etc. Use it as a planter. Put it on a garden bench or porch. Make it over into a wind chime – lots of uses!
It measures approximately 16” wide from spout to handle, 7 ½” in diameter and is 11” at its highest point.
