This is a very pretty 6" vase. It was made by the Swedish porcelain manufacturer Rörstrand in a pattern called "Druva". The vase background is a deep blue, close to Navy. It is decorated all over with small flowers, large leaves and clusters of berries or grapes. The leaves, flowers and fruit are in varying shades of lighter and darker blues and touches of white. The top of the vase is crimped at each corner. It is marked on the bottom with the pattern "Druva" and the manufacturer's mark and is incised with the letters "MU" and "DZ". Rörstrand used this mark from 1885 on. The vase measures approximately 6" high and 3 ½" in diameter.
The condition is very good. There is light crazing in the glaze on the bottom of the vase due to age. There are no chips or cracks.
Rörstrand was originally founded in Stockholm, Sweden in 1726 has been making fine porcelain and pottery for 280 years. There is a museum in Lidköping which features unique pieces produced by Rörstrand, along with many of their mass produced items.
