This is a great 1950's made in Japan demitasse coffee or espresso set with four matching cups and saucers. They have a pretty design of stylized wheat in bright gold with pretty purple wildflowers and a light gray band around the edges of all pieces. The sugar bowl especially has a great fifties design.
The coffee pot measures approximately 7" high and 4" in diameter. The creamer measures approximately 3 ½" high and 2 ¾" in diameter. The sugar bowl measures approximately 2" high and 5" wide. The cups measure approximately 2" high and 2 ½" in diameter. The saucers measure approximately 4" in diameter.
All of the pieces are marked "Yamaka China Japan".
The condition is very good. There is some wear on the gold trim. There is some roughness on the rim of one of the cups and one cup has an imperfection or discoloration near the rim. There are no chips, cracks or crazing. There are two extra saucers with the set if you wish to have them included at no extra cost.
