This is a nice old Cream of Wheat Ad dating to 1924 professionally framed and matted. It looks like a water color. The ad shows two young boys in the foreground of a swimming hole playing tug of war. There is a large Cream of Wheat poster on the wall of the old mill in the background at the far side of the swimming hole. The print is titled "The Makings of a Man". It is artist signed, but the signature is very hard to read. Cream of Wheat hired many famous commercial artists during the 1920's to do the artwork for their advertisements.
The print measures approximately 9" wide and 12" in length inside the mat. The frame measures approximately 13 ½" wide and 17" in length.
The print is in fair condition. There are some marks and discoloration toward the bottom and the print has stretched and loosened up within the frame. The frame is a nice old one that appears to have been repainted brown. There is some damage and losses to the frame.
